Esteban Camacho

About

I grew up close to wild areas in Costa Rica and Oregon where the biodiversity was an astounding treasure that stimulated my imagination. As a bicultural American-Costa Rican artist, I was born in a critical time to share my skills and commitment to help protect the biosphere. I studied art to have a career where I could work as an activist artist, following in the footsteps of my family and community, who volunteered passionately for peace and the planet. After college, I sought out international experiences to learn from other cultures by studying and working in Canada, China and Europe. Now my work is deeply committed to all living beings, and to honor the wisdom and cultures of indigenous people whenever I get the chance.
